Live events
I thrive on sharing history with diverse audiences, from lively panels discussing shows like Lady Killers with Lucy Worsley to thought-provoking talks at history festivals. My work also extends to engaging policymakers with historical insights and connecting with local history and literary societies. Through each talk, I aim to bring the past to life, making it relevant and engaging for all.
LIVE BROADCAST
Lady Killers with Lucy Worsley - Live
On Friday 6 September, the hit series, Lady Killers with Lucy Worsley was recorded in front of a live audience for the first time and the BBC Radio Theatre.
For this special one-off show, Lucy was joined by Lady Killers in-house historian, Professor Rosalind Crone, and special guest Salma el-Wardany, writer, poet and BBC Breakfast presenter. The team looked back at the 24 murderesses we've met so far in the series, and offered an exclusive preview of the new season, which takes things in a more light-hearted direction. Instead of killers, we're covering fraudsters and conwomen from the past!
Lady Killers with Lucy Worsley - Live was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on 23 September. An extended version is now available on BBC Sounds.

Working with Dave Musgrove (History Extra) and Bob Nicholson (Edgehill University), we challenged the audiences’ presumptions and expectations about the Victorians, by presenting colourful vignettes of 5 Victorians who led rather surprising lives…
INDUSTRY EVENT
The Podcast Show
In 2023, I was invited to speak as part of a panel at The Podcast Show in London, the biggest international festival for the business of podcasting.
Together with Rhian Roberts (Commissioner, BBC Radio 3, 4 & 4 Extra) and Kirsty Hunter (Managing Director, StoryHunter), we spoke to key players in the podcast industry about how Lady Killers with Lucy Worsley was conceived, how the podcast has become a vehicle for new female talent, and how the team are building a revisionist feminist history universe.
